Lesson 17 - Colours

Colours is our new topic to start the term. Here are some colours in Maori:

Ma (macron above the a) - White
Whero - Red
Karaka - Orange
Kowhai - Yellow
Kakariki (a macron above each a) - Green
Mango - Black
Mango - Black
Kikorangi - Blue
Waiporoporo - Purple
Parauri - Brown
Kiwikiwi - Grey

  12. Cool...just had to note that its mangu not mango for black. Also pango is black. Just checked both P.M. Ryan's Revised Dictionary of Modern Maori. I noticed because a song on Youtube said mangu.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdfTNTtA0Gg
